Following graduation, she studied the ecology and intra-species relationships of howler monkeys while at the Ometepe Island field station in Nicaragua. She then went on to intern at Defenders of Wildlife before accepting a position at Central Montgomery MH/MR Center as an Intensive Case Manager. She is currently a doctoral candidate at Kingston University investigating the role of the wildlife trade in the spread of infectious diseases.
